VISAKHAPATNAM: Nara Lokesh, during his Tuesday padayatra, emphasized women empowerment, revealing plans for the Maha Shakti scheme once TDP comes into power.

Under this scheme, women would receive Rs 2500 through the Aada Bidda Fund, free bus travel, subsidy loans, Pendli Kanuka for queries, and pensions for single women.

Lokesh assured that the TDP government would fulfill these promises, criticizing the current government for unfulfilled commitments and increased prices.

Starting his padayatra from Namavaram, Lokesh engaged with women in Chinnadoddigallu. He also met with betel leaf farmers, assuring input subsidies and crop insurance for profitable farming.

Representatives from Devavaram village urged Lokesh to reclassify Yadavs in North Andhra from BC-D to BC-B, requesting a 50% subsidy on sheep and pensions for sheppards above 50 years.
