MP regain National women’s hockey title after a gap of two years

Visakhapatnam: Madhya Pradesh regained the senior women National hockey title after a gap of two years when they overwhelmed Maharashtra 5-1 in the final of the 13th edition of the championship at the DSA ground, Kakinada on Sunday. Jharkhand retained the third place by edging out Haryana 2-1. Results (Final): Madhya Pradesh 5 (Diksha Tiwari 2, Manmeet Kaur 1, Aishwarya Rajesh Chavan 1, Preeti Dubey 1) bt Maharashtra 1 (Lalrindiki 1). Playoff for 3rd spot: Jharkhand 2 (Roshini Dungdung 1, Reshma Soreng 1) bt Haryana 1 (Devika Sen 1).Jayamohan, Srividya win chess titlesB Sri Jayamohan (5 points) and P Satya Srividya (3.5) won the U-11 boys and girls titles respectively in the district chess selection tournament on Sunday.
