MES assn seeks relief from Centre

Visakhapatnam: The Vizag branch of military engineering services builders’ association has sought compensation from the Union government citing steep increase in cost of construction material. It urged the government to provide interim relief by paying the difference between actual price escalation and regular price variation. “Steel price has increased to 86,000/ton from 40,000 two years ago.The price of cement has increased by 100 per bag,” MES builders’ association Vizag branch chairman C Bala Satish said.
