Visakhapatnam: Addanki Karthikeya won bronze in the 35th National U-7 Open chess in Gujarat on Tuesday. The Visakhapatnam boy who has a rating of 1150, scored nine points in the 11-round competition. Nidhish Shyamal of Telangana won the title with 9.5 points and Aarit Kapil of Delhi was second with nine points. Y Durwin Goud of AP finished 11th with eight points.

Captain V Sneha Deepthi scored an unbeaten half ton as Andhra beat Odisha by nine wickets in their group A league match of the BCCI women’s T20 tournament in Bengaluru.
