Jhansi, Sireesha shine for Andhra

Visakhapatnam: Ch Jhansi Lakshmi and A Sireesha hit unbeaten half-centuries and shared 105 runs for the unbeaten third wicket in Andhra’s eight-wicket victory over Gujarat in a group E league match of the senior women one-dayers tournament at the Darshanam Sports and Education Academy, Baroda.
Andhra put Gujarat in and restricted them to 149 for eight. G Sarayana took three wickets and V Pushpa Latha claimed two.
Gujarat have 12 points from four matches and are sharing the lead with MP and UP (each having 12 points from four matches), followed by Andhra (eight from four matches), Chhattisgarh (8, five matches), Tripura (8, four matches) ad Manipur (0, four matches).
