Visakhapatnam:
Jana Sena corporator P Murthy Yadav submitted a representation to the GVMC officials during the Spandana programme on Monday, alleging irregularities in the allocation of TIDCO houses.
In his representation, Murthy Yadava said that 72 units out of the 120 TIDCO houses built in Jalaripeta have been allocated to the old beneficiaries, who earlier also got houses from the government.
“Even four government employees have also been issued these TIDCO houses. How could the government employees be considered as homeless poor?” questioned Murthy Yadav.
The corporator also complained against the alleged illegal vending activities at the night food court of the city.
He also alleged a ₹ 36 crore scam through the sale of rice and pulses. “The scam was well planned and executed by additional commissioner Y Srinivas Rao and UCD project director Papu Naidu along with some traders,” alleged Murthy Yadav. TNN
