VISAKHAPATNAM: The East Coast Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (ECORWWO) of Waltair Division felicitated an all-women crew for operating a train on the occasion of Women's Day.
The train, numbered 08504, was operated by an all-women team, including Loco Pilot Jhansi Rani, Co-pilot Sadhana Kumari, and Train Manager K Sri Ramya, led by Station Manager Visakhapatnam A Aruna Sree.
The team successfully carried out train operations, maintenance, and commercial duties. The bogies of the train were maintained by an all-women bogie maintenance team at the Visakhapatnam Coach Maintenance Depot.
The Rani Jhansi Ticket checking squad accompanied the train, who were recently awarded the Rail Seva Puraskar by DRM Saurabh Prasad for their outstanding performance.
The President of ECORWWO's Waltair Division, Manjushree Prasad, along with Senior Divisional Operational Manager Preeti Rana, felicitated the entire women's team at Visakhapatnam station.
