VISAKHAPATNAM: On the 25th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) paid homage to our brave soldiers who laid down their lives fighting for our country. The Naval officers paid homage to the heroes of the Kargil War in a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony at the 'Victory at Sea' War Memorial in Vizag city on Friday (July 26). A guard of honor was paraded on the occasion, and wreaths were also placed by police officers and veterans.
The 'Victory at Sea' war memorial, located on RK Beach Road in Visakhapatnam, is a tribute to our brave personnel who, in the highest traditions of the Indian Armed Forces, made the supreme sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Homage is paid to our fallen heroes on important occasions like Republic Day, Independence Day, Vijay Diwas, and Navy Day by placing a floral wreath at the memorial.
