Drone caught in fishing net

Visakhapatnam: A drone in the shape of an aircraft was found in the waters by the fisherfolk at Mulapeta village in Santhabommali mandal of Srikakulam district on Thursday. The drone was caught in the net during the routine fishing activity. The device was brought to the shore and the fishermen informed the coastal security police personnel at Bhavanapadu. “There is nothing suspicious in the incident as such drones are used by the defence establishments, and sometimes, the drones plunge into the waters,” said Madhusudhan Rao, a senior officer with coastal security police. Police said the drone was in red and yellow colours and weighed around 110 kg. Though there is nothing suspicious, we have informed other departments for further investigation into the incident, police said. TNN
