'Dummy schools' hurting students: Delhi HC
The Delhi High Court has expressed concern over the unchecked growth of "dummy schools" that allow ineligible candidates to secure seats under the Delhi state quota. The court issued notices to various authorities, including the Delhi government and educational institutions, to respond to a petition against the proliferation of these schools. The petitioner claimed that these schools provide a virtual platform for students to falsely show that they have migrated to Delhi in order to avail the benefits of state quota seats. The matter is scheduled for further hearing on November 29.
