VISAKHAPATNAM: The demolition of an illegal construction belonging to an ex-service man in Vizianagaram district sparked a political controversy on Saturday.

The revenue department officials have demolished the compound wall of the house as the wall was constructed in the government land at Dhannanapeta village under Nellimarla mandal in the district.

The officials said that an ex-service man P Venku Naidu constructed the compound wall by encroaching the government land. The YSRCP leaders alleged that the TDP government demolished the house of the ex-serviceman.

However, Venku Naidu staged a protest demanding the revenue authorities to demolish all the illegal construction in the village. EOM
