GVMC Corporator launches fast unto death

VISAKHAPATNAM: The fast unto death launched by the Jana Sena GVMC corporator P Murthy Yadav at zone-III GVMC office entered the second day on Saturday. The 22nd ward corporation launched the fast, alleging repeated violation of protocol.
“House site distribution programme related to my ward was conducted on June 30. But I was not even informed of the schedule of the programme.This has happened several times in the past . Surprisingly, the name of the YSRC leader, whom I defeated in the elections, finds a place in every plaque and communique regarding the activities in the ward, but not mine. The sorry state of affairs indicates nexus between the local officials and the ruling party leaders,” said Murthy Yadav.
The corporator asked the collector to take disciplinary action against the officials concerned for conducting a development programme violating the general codes of conduct.
