Coromandel to donate Rs 65L to Kakinada hospital

As a part of its CSR, crop protection major Coromandel International Limited (CIL) on Tuesday said it will contribute Rs 65 lakh to refurbis the pediatric department of Kakinada Government Hospital.

VISAKHAPATNAM: As a part of its CSR, crop protection major Coromandel International Limited (CIL) on Tuesday said it will contribute Rs 65 lakh to refurbis the pediatric department of Kakinada Government Hospital. "CIL has decided to contribute Rs 65 lakh for carrying out repairs and renovation of the building and procurement of life-saving equipment for the hospital," the company said, pointing out that the funds would be used for purchasing four ventilators for the Pediatric ICU and conversion of the old NICU into a pediatric general ward besides development of infrastructure and provision of key amenities in the ward.

With this, the hospital authorities have decided to rename the pediatric block as 'Coromandel Pediatric Ward', said the company. According to Murugappa Group chairman A Vellayan, CIL was also planning to adopt more healthcare projects in the state.
