VISAKHAPATNAM: A constable working at the Pedabayalu police station in the Alluri Sitaramaraju district, Ch Srinivasa Rao won three gold medals and two silver medals in the Pan India Masters Games swimming event held in Bengaluru recently.
Srinivas won gold medals in the 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley and silver medals in the 50m butterfly and 4x50m medley relay events.
Superintendent of Police S Satish Kumar and other officers and staff congratulated Srinivas on his achievement. Srinivas qualified for the international pan pacific masters games to be held in Australia in November.
Yoga session at campOver 800 children and 42 coaches and other officials participating in the annual summer coaching camp for children being conducted by the department of sports of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant took part in a yoga session held at the Col. CK Nayudu Ukku stadium in Ukkunagaram on Tuesday, as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and as a prelude to the eighth International Day of Yoga to be held on June 21. Yoga teachers A Kanaka Rao and AV Syamala conducted the session.
