Chief minister will open flyover soon, Ganta says

VISAKHAPATNAM: State ports and infrastructure ministerGantaSrinivasaRao on Thursday said that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would be inaugurating the much awaited flyover connecting Asilmetta and Dondaparty junctions in the city in the next four to five days.
Unveiling a fibre statue of Telugu Talli at Maddilapalem junction on Thursday, Ganta told Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) commissioner MV Satyanarayana to finish all pending works of the flyover before the inauguration by the chief minister.Ganta also said it was very unfortunate that the city lacks a statue of Telugu Talli. He told civic officials to start work on making a bronze statue of Telugu Talli and install it permanently in place of the fibre-made statue that was unveiled on I-Day. GVMC sources said it would take nearly two months to make the bronze statue of Telugu Talli.
