CBI probe sought into Visakhapatnam custodial death
VISAKHAPATNAM: The leaders of Mahila Chetana, Human Rights Forum (HRF) and
City police initiated an inquiry with the joint city
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, leaders K Padma, VS Krishna and Kottapalli Venkata Ramana asked whether Pydiraju is alive or dead. Cops who have been facing allegations should give a clarity over the issue and why the police commissioner is not responding when severe allegations were levelled against his department, they asked.
“We came to a conclusion that Pydiraju was no more as his sister on Saturday at Vizianagaram announced that he has died in KGH. She informed that she too visited the city central crime station for two days but no information was given by the cops,” the people’s organisations leaders said.
They further asked that if Pydiraju died in the KGH they why the cops are not revealing admission and discharge or death information. CBI inquiry is the only solution to bring out the facts, they said.
