Bihar force a draw vs Andhra

Visakhapatnam and Bihar forced a draw in the last round of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy Tournament in Anantapur on Wednesday. Andhra finished fourth in the group with 15 points behind Gujarat, 28 Maharashtra, 22 Chhattisgarh, 19 Goa, 10 Chandigarh, and 2. Bihar finished fifth, sixth, and seventh respectively. Andhra finished fourth in the seven-team group A with 15 points behind Gujarat (28), Maharashtra (22), Chhattisgarh (19). Goa (10), Chandigarh (10) and Bihar (2) finished fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Brief scores: Bihar 339 & 249/5 in 88.1 overs (Ankit Raj 81, Paramjeet Singh 78, Rajesh 38) drew with Andhra 418.

Talent hunt for pace bowlers
Thirty-five out of 110 players were selected for further training after a selection process conducted by the Cricket Association of YSR District as part of its talent hunt programme. Of the lot, Shaik Mohammed Adil recorded a best speed of 125 kmph. “The talent hunt was held in Kadapa and the selected would undergo a month-long camp,” secretary A Reddy Prasad said. President M Bharat Reddy and South zone academy convener P Sanjay Kumar Reddy conducted the programme.
