Awareness progs at KGH, dist court

Visakhapatnam: Coronavirus

programmes were held at King George Hospital (

KGH

) and the

district court

on Tuesday.

At KGH, superintendent Dr G Arjuna organised and led the awareness programme with house surgeons, nurses, sanitation staff and data entry operators at the surgery gallery hall in the department of general surgery. Dr Arjuna emphasised the need to take precautions against Covid-19 and the importance of washing one’s hands regularly.

Nodal officer for Covid-19 in KGH, Dr S Lakshmi Sowjanya and assistant professor of community medicine, Dr D Yarrayya were present at the event.

At the district court, training officer and epidemiologist MVV Muralimohan addressed advocates, officials and judges. DMHO Dr S Tirupathi Rao distributed masks. President of Vizag Bar Association GM Reddy, district judge BS Bhanumati and president of Forum of Legal Professionals Kuppili Muralidhar attended the programme.

The district court on Tuesday was deserted following a circular from the high court that directed that for two weeks only urgent matters be heard.
