Arrangements for Polycet reviewed

Visakhapatnam: Foolproof arrangements should be made for the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP Polycet-2023), said district revenue officer S Srinivasa Murthy. A review meeting on the arrangements for the Polycet was conducted here at the collectorate.As many as 11,569 aspirants will take the exam in Visakhapatnam district on May 10. The DRO enquired about the infrastructure and facilities being planned for the students during the exam. Srinivasa Murthy asked the RTC officials to operate special buses on the exam centre routes for the convenience of the students. A total of 34 examination centres have been set up in the district. The officials also reviewed the medical aid, drinking water, and other basic amenities being set up at the centres. Section 144 would be imposed in and around the examination centres. All the examination centres have been declared as no mobile zones. Officials asked the student fraternity not to bring any electronic gadgets to the examination centres, which could prevent their entry. Based on the ranks of the Polycet-2023, admissions will be given into diploma courses at the nearly 80 government polytechnic colleges and over 200 private polytechnic colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
