TIRUPATI: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials on Friday arrested Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy in connection with YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

Uday Kumar was first picked up by the CBI sleuths for questioning from his residence at Pulivendula on Friday morning. He was taken to the prison guest house in Kadapa for questioning. Later, the CBI sleuths confirmed his arrest to Uday's family members and made arrangements to present him before the CBI court in Hyderabad for further course of action.

Uday's father Jayaprakash Reddy, is also being questioned by the CBI. Jayaprakash Reddy is facing allegations of covering up the injuries on Vivekananda’s body with a bandage. Uday Kumar, who works at Tummalapalli uranium factory, was questioned several times by the CBI in the past.

According to sources, he was one among the early persons to reach the crime scene after Vivekananda murder came to light. It is learnt that the CBI sleuths got his presence there confirmed with the help of a download archive of an internet communication facilitator.
