RAJAHMUNDRY: Bhimavaram police have arrested four engineering students for brutally thrashing a student with sticks at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

The police have booked them under sections 384,324,342,506 read with 34 IPC on Friday.

The arrested students have revealed to the police that they have thrashed one Ankit in connection with love matter.

The accused, along with his three friends, thrashed Ankit very badly in the hostel room. Whereas, another student made a video of the whole episode.

According to Bhimavaram Two Town inspector B Krishna Kumar, five students are studying in B.Tech second year in SRKR Engineering college and staying at a private hostel in the town.

Srikakulam . The students brutally attacked Ankit with sticks and he sustained injuries all over his body.

The victim lodged complaint with the Bhimavaram Two town police station and was admitted to Bhimavaram government hospital.

Manthena Jagapathi Raju, Principal, SRKR College, said that six students are very close friends and they are staying in a private hostel. He stated that one of the accused is in love with one girl and the victim was also moving close. Due to this this, prime accused brutally attacked Ankit with sticks. however, he did not inform either college authorities or his parents.

Initially, he said that all the six students were suspended, but now the suspension of the victim has been revoked after conducting meeting with anti-ragging cell of the college.

He mentioned that TCs might be issued to all the accused students in this case.
