TIRUPATI: The annual
Pushpayagam festival
will be celebrated on a grand note at the world-renowned Lord Venkateswara temple at
Tirumala
on November 11.
Ankurarpanam will be held as a prelude to the annual festival on November 10. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has suspended the conduct of various 'arjitha sevas' including Kalyanotsavam, 'arjitha Brahmotsavam', Unjal Seva etc at the hill temple on November 11.
As part of the annual Pushpayagam festival, the processional deities of Lord
Malayappa Swamy
and His two divine consorts Goddess Sridevi and Bhudevi will be brought to the Kalyanotsava mandapam inside the hill temple where temple priests will perform the Snapana Tirumanjanam rituals following by the Pushpayagam.
During the Pushpayagam fete, Lord Malayappa Swamy and his consorts will be showered upon with different flowers, aromatic leaves amidst the chanting of the Vedic hymns.
Meanwhile, TTD JEO V Veerabrahmam reviewed the progress of various development works at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati on Tuesday.
The JEO directed the engineering department officials to come out with an action plan related to the construction of a new Yagashala, Goshala, Kalyanakatta, Potu-temple kitchen, Kalyana mandapam extension etc.
