Three persons, including Ramakrishna's wife

Dola Lakshmi

and her paramour

B Dasakanteswara Rao

and another person

G Shankar

were arrested in the murder case, said Additional SP of Vizianagaram, P Anil.

On April 2, Ramakrishna, an autorickshaw-driver by profession was found lifeless in a self-road-accident near a bridge at Nathavalasa. The

Pusapatirega

police initially registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC.

Ramakrishna was a native of Dodi Baduva village under Denkada Mandal in the district and he was addicted to liquor. He married Lakshmi around 27 year ago and the couple was blessed with two daughters and one son. He had harassed his wife several times for money to buy liquor.

The police raised doubts over the death of Ramakrishna when the victim’s wife Lakshmi frequently visited the police station to get the status of the case of her husband’s death.

The investigation has revealed that Ramakrishna’s wife Lakshmi joined as helper in a canteen of pharma company at Pydibheemavaram in Srikakulam district to lead her family a decade ago and she had developed illicit affair with supervisor of the canteen B Dasakanteswara Rao.

Rao used to spend time with Lakshmi’s family members including Ramakrishna and he used to give money to Ramakrishna for liquor. However, Ramakrishna came to know that his wife had an illicit affair with Rao, and he used to quarrel and fight with her.

Rao and Lakshmi decided to eliminate Ramakrishna and Rao sought the help of his friend Shankar.

On April 2, Rao and Shankar came to know that Ramakrishna went to Perapuram to drop some people in his auto-rickshaw and the duo had gone to Perapuram, where Rao, Shankar and Ramakrishna consumed liquor on that night.

Rao and Shankar murdered Ramakrishna by beating on his head with a boulder and they tried to depict the murder as self-road accident near a bridge at Nathavalasa village.

We have nabbed the trio and they were sent to remand after being produced in the court, the police added.
