VISAKHAPATNAM: A gang of eight members was arrested for kidnapping three persons for not repaying the loan amount in
Visakhapatnam. All the accused belonged to East Godavari while two of the victims were also from the same district, according to assistant commissioner of police (ACP) V Sripad Rao.
The accused were identified as Adapa Tarun (23), B Adrushta Deepak (40), Ahamadulla Khan Durrani (28), Daniel, Surada Bharat (19), Pedda, B Anil Kumar alias Kakinada Anil (35) B Rajesh Kumar (30) and Bittu.
A travel company driver Raju took an amount of Rs. 6 lakh from Adapa Tarun. Raju along with other driver friends Kiran and Jagadeesh were kidnapped by the Tarun gang for not paying the loan amount. The trio was kidnapped by the Tarun gang on November 26. They took them to the Sagarnagar area and beat Kiran.
Luckily, Kiran and Jagadeesh escaped from the kidnappers and were admitted in a hospital at Gopalapatnam. After learning this, Gopalapatnam police started investigation and formed six teams to nab the kidnappers. They arrested all eight members of the gang and further investigation is on.
