Visakhapatnam: 6 held, 620 kg ganja seized in 2 cases

VISAKHAPATNAM: The ASR district police seized over 620 kg of dry ganja and arrested six persons in two separate incidents in the district on Sunday.
In the first case, the police seized 578 kg ganja and arrested three persons while they were transporting the ganja in two autorickshaws near Eedulabayalu crossroads under G Madugula mandal. The ganja was procured from a few persons and was being transported to Narsipatnam and Vizag.
The accused were identified as S Konda Babu, K Babu Rao and T Gowtham, all from K Kodapalle village.Police said that they will nab a few others in connection with the case.
In the second incident, three persons were arrested when they were transporting over 45 kg dry ganja on a bike near Parvathinagar under Sileru police station limits.
The police said that two of the three accused hail from Uttar Pradesh.
