3 teens drown in tank while bathing in Andhra Pradesh; caught in mire, bodies fished out later

VISAKHAPATNAM: Three students, all around 14 years of age group, drowned in a tank and died at Guntaseema village of Dumbriguda mandal of Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district on Sunday.

The deceased youngsters have been identified as Gunta Sai Kiran, Gunta Bhanteja, both were Bilaput village and Korra Susanth, a native of Gangavalasa village.

The police said Sai Kiran and Bhanuteja had gone to their uncle’s home at Guntaseema. The duo along with their friend Susanth entered the tank to take a bath on Sunday morning and they were caught in a mire in the tank.

As they did not come out for a long time, the others searched for them. All the three youngsters died on the spot after being fished out of the water.

The police have registered a case and shifted the bodies to government hospital for post-mortem.
