152 liquor bottles seized, 2 arrested

Visakhapatnam: Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) personnel seized over 152 liquor bottles (Odisha origin) of various quantities at Challapeta under Jalumuru mandal in Srikakulam district. Officials nabbed two persons for the possession of Odisha origin liquor worth ₹50,000. A case has been registered. TNN

Liquor bottles worth 1.6L stolen from store

Two employees of a club in Noida were arrested and its liquor license suspended after it was discovered that they were mixing cheaper liquor into bottles of more expensive brands. The employees claimed they were following the instructions of the restaurant manager. Two others managed to escape. In a separate incident, two individuals were arrested for transporting illegal liquor in a truck. These actions are part of a crackdown on illegal liquor in various locations, including Ludhiana and Lucknow.

Unit making adulterated liquor busted, two arrested

Police in Lucknow raided a house being used as a factory for manufacturing adulterated alcohol, which was being sold as English liquor. Two individuals were arrested, while the mastermind behind the operation and two others are still at large. During the raid, authorities discovered 624 bottles of English liquor, along with other equipment and 2.5 kilograms of urea. The accused revealed that the bottles were being sold at a shop owned by the mastermind and his mother.
