World-class toy park planned in Anakapalli district

Visakhapatnam: The Nakkapalli area in Anakapalli district will soon host a world-class toys park, with the govt actively pursuing the proposal and verifying suitable land between two villages in the Payakaraopeta Assembly Constituency — the home turf of state home minister Vangalapudi Anita. The project is expected to generate employment for nearly 22,000 women.The toys park will be established on 543 acres near Upamakar in Nakkapalli mandal, with an investment of ₹15,000 crore. The state govt has signed an MoU with Pals Plush, the company behind the project, which promises large-scale employment opportunities for women.
Industries department principal secretary N Yuvaraj has visited Nakkapalli twice to identify suitable land, accompanied by company representatives. Officials inspected a large parcel comprising 108 acres of govt land, with the remainder classified as D patta and Gerayat holdings.The company plans to manufacture eco-friendly toys, with foundation stone-laying scheduled soon and production expected to begin by the end of next year. Home minister V Anita emphasised that the toy units would empower women and provide financial security.Land acquisition is set to begin in April. According to the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), nearly 90% of employees will be women, most of them local residents of the mandal.
