Andhra Pradesh: Woman jumps into well with two children, all dead

VIJAYAWADA: A woman along with her two children committed suicide by jumping into a well in Pileru of Annamayya district on Friday. According to the police, Lavanya of Gurramkonda mandal, married Subrahmanyam Reddy of Pileru mandal in 2016. Subrahmanyam Reddy lives in Mahabubabad, Telangana. Three months ago, Lavanya had a fight with her husband and went back to her parents’ home.

On Tuesday, Subrahmanyam came to Obulavaripalle for the rituals of Lavanya’s grandfather Surender Reddy. Subrahmanyam tried to take his wife and children with him after the rituals. When Lavanya refused to go with her husband, he asked her to at least send the children with him.

On Friday, Lavanya took her children, Parmesh (4) and Mounika (2), and went to their farm and along with the children committed suicide by jumping into the well.
