Visakhapatnam: VMRDA metropolitan commissioner N. Tej Bharath conducted a field inspection of major road-widening works under the master plan road project, covering the Adavivaram–Shonthyam, Veppagunta–Pinagadi, and Gambheeram–Nerellavalasa–Tallavalasa stretches. Reviewing progress, he directed officials to secure approvals from landowners within GVMC limits to avoid objections and instructed that TDR certificates and compensation be issued promptly to those affected.
He asked departments to relocate 11 kV electricity poles standing in the middle of roads, complete WMM and civil works on both sides, and coordinate with revenue, rural water supply, APTRANSCO, and GVMC.
Stressing timelines, he said all roads must be opened for public use as scheduled, urging close coordination among engineers, officials, and contractors.
