VIJAYAWADA: Providing quick hassle-free
darshan for devotees would be the authority’s prime focus during the ten-day-long
Dasara celebrations at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanams (Kanaka Durga temple). Executive officer of the temple, MV Suresh Babu, said this in a meeting organised by district collector Mohammed Imtiaz on Wednesday.
Suresh Babu said that they have decided to set specific break timing for VIP darshan.
“We have designed a time plan to provide quick darshan for the devotees. Four different time slots have been fixed for VIP break darshan. All persons requiring some protocol are also requested to visit the temple during the break timings,” he said.
Dasara celebrations will start on Saturday with Snapana Abhishekam and devotees will be allowed for darshan from 9am.
“We are co-ordinating with the R&B department to stall the flyover construction work and shifting heavy machinery considering the safety of devotees,” the EO said.
Sound and light show will be a special attraction for devotees and there will be special decorative lights.
“We are looking to provide Anna Prasadam for around 4 lakh devotees during the festival this year with the support of the donors, said Suresh Babu, adding that the authorities have focused on minimising the expenses for the fest.
Krishna collector Imtiaz called upon officials from Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), police, fire, revenue and health wings to work collectively to make the festival a success.
