Vijaywada Municipal Corporation surrenders planning official to parent dept

, to his parent department, here on Saturday.

Chandrabose was charged with negligence of duty and failure to complete projects in time. Earlier, VMC had sent notices to the ACP for delay in completing development works. In a press release, Veerapandian said Chandrabose had not completed the

road widening works

undertaken in circle –II (Mahanadu Road, High Tension Road and Pinnamaneni Polyclinic road) within the stipulated time.

The commissioner also said the ACP so far had not issued TDR bonds to the land owners, who had given their lands for road widening works. It may be noted that Chandrabose had earlier been warned for the same reason. Chandrabose was also guilty of not installing hoardings at key junctions and encouraging people to participate in

“Every officer should work hard to complete the projects in time. The ACP did not change his working style, though we served charge memos to him. Hence, he surrendered him to his mother department,” said Veerapandian.
