Vijayasai tables private member bills on media, capital issues

Vijayawada: YSR Congress MP V Vijayasai Reddy on Friday introduced three private member Bills in the Rajya Sabha including a Bill seeking amendment to Article 3 of the Constitution giving greater powers to the states to decide and alter the capital or to have one or more capitals depending on the changing needs of the respective states. Interestingly, Vijayasai Reddy quoted the judgment of the AP High Court on the Amaravati capital issue, which he said had weakened the decision-making power of the state.
