Ugadi Panchangam predicts AP’s growth, Amaravati rise

Vijayawada:Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said the coalition govt was committed to steering Andhra Pradesh on a firm development path through short-, medium- and long-term planning, with a resolve to place the Telugu community at the forefront by 2047.Speaking at Ugadi celebrations marking the Sri Parabhava Nama year at Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram in Vijayawada, the chief minister said the govt's objective was to ensure welfare, development and good governance reached every citizen. After partaking in Ugadi Pachadi along with ministers, public representatives and officials, he listened to the Panchanga Sravanam rendered by Brahmasri Madugula Nagaphani Sharma.Extending Ugadi greetings to Telugu people across the world, Chandrababu Naidu said Ugadi Pachadi reflected life itself, with its blend of different tastes symbolising joy and sorrow. Indian festivals and traditions were rooted in science and promoted a healthy way of life through practices such as yoga, naturopathy, Surya Namaskar and nature-based living, he said.The chief minister said overseas Telugus had become brand ambassadors of Telugu culture and reaffirmed his resolve to elevate the Telugu community to global prominence. Calling for collective resolve, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh should emerge as a wealthy, healthy and happy society by 2047 and urged people to strengthen the global standing of the Telugu community in the Sri Parabhava Nama year.CMRF assistance released on UgadiOn the first day of the Telugu New Year, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu signed his first file approving the release of Rs 55.63 crore from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF), benefiting 6,787 beneficiaries.Officials said the assistance would help poor families face financial and medical difficulties. Over the past 21 months, the govt has released more than Rs 1,241 crore through CMRF, benefiting 1,36,240 people across the state. Priests from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Kanaka Durga temple offered Ugadi blessings to the chief minister on the occasion.Panchangam Predicts Economic RevivalDelivering the Panchanga Sravanam, Brahmasri Madugula Nagaphani Sharma predicted success for the state govt during the Sri Parabhava Nama year, saying initiatives taken with resolve would bear fruit. He forecast adequate rainfall, cultural resurgence, economic progress for the state, and the transformation of Amaravati into a global city, while assuring peace and prosperity for the people.The chief minister honoured Nagaphani Sharma with new clothes and unveiled the TTD Panchangam, Agriculture Department Panchangam and Cultural Department calendars. He also presented Ugadi Puraskar and Kala Ratna awards to artistes and achievers from various fields.
