said Siva Kumar and Subramanyam were arrested for killing Ganesh, their acquaintance on March 6.

The police said Siva Kumar, Subramanyam and one Ganesh used to collect waste paper and sold them to a local vendor at Renigunta. They also used to steal from people sleeping on roadside. “On March 6, they quarrelled over sharing the stolen money and Siva Kumar and Subramanyam stabbed Ganesh. They smashed his head using a boulder and killed him and fled away,” said the cop.

Meanwhile, A middle-aged woman was found murdered near

near Pakala mandal in

Chittoor district

on Tuesday. The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained. Preliminary investigation showed that the woman was bludgeoned to death with an heavy object.
