TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chief YV Subba Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy invited Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde for the Bhumi Puja of the new Balaji mandir on June 7.

The world's richest Hindu temples trust resolved to construct a replica of the Tirupati Balaji temple in Mumbai.

In April 2022, the Maharashtra government allocated 10 acres of land in sector 12 in the Ulwe node of Navi Mumbai to the TTD to construct the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple.

The land allocated to the Tirupati trust at Ulwe is close to the upcoming international airport at Navi Mumbai.

The approximate value of the land allocated to the TTD was said to be worth Rs 500 crore.

According to the Tirupati trust, the construction of the new Balaji temple in Mumbai will be taken up with donor devotees support.

TTD estimates to spend Rs 70 crore for the construction of this new temple in Mumbai.
