Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary stated that providing high-quality Annaprasadam to devotees visiting Tirumala is one of TTD’s foremost priorities. He made these remarks during a meeting with rice and dal millers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana held at Sri Padmavathi Guest House at Tirumala on Tuesday.
Additional EO emphasised that there should be no compromise in the quality of raw materials supplied for Annaprasadam preparation. He noted that a recent feedback survey conducted among devotees at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex revealed that over 98% of devotees felt that the taste and quality of the food had significantly improved.
Rice millers who interacted with devotees at the Annaprasadam Complex on Monday night also found that a majority of devotees expressed satisfaction with the quality and taste of the meals. Based on suggestions received from devotees, TTD is taking proactive measures to further refine the taste, variety, and distribution of the sacred food. He further stated that TTD is introducing a new empanelment system to enhance transparency and quality standards in the procurement of raw materials.
Discussions were also held on the supply of various pulses through the Dal Association. A final decision on these proposals will be taken after deliberation in the TTD Board meeting.
