Tribal student stalked, kills self

Duggirala (Guntur): Parents of Durgabai, a tribal degree student who committed suicide on Wednesday, gave a written complaint to police that their daughter killed herself unable to bear harassment from a youth.

The parents, residents of Duggirala, told the police on Thursday that the accused, K Durga Naik, has been stalking their daughter right from the time she was studying Intermediate in Guntur. "The parents gave us a complaint and we registered a case accordingly. The investigation is on," said sub-inspector Murali.

It may be recalled that Durgabai, a first year B Com student from Dr KRRM Degree College, hung herself late on Wednesday evening.
