Three endowments staffers land in ACB net in Anantapur

Tirupati: Two junior assistants of the endowments department, Y Narayanaswamy and G Gopala Krishna, were caught red-handed by the

ACB

while they were accepting a

bribe

of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant G Raju, a businessman.

The duo was taken into custody at a meeseva centre near Syndicate bank in Uravakonda of Anantapur district. Their arrest led to the arrest of G Sankar, a senior assistant at the office of the assistant commissioner, endowments department.

Raju had approached Sankar to process the renewal of his land application but the official demanded a bribe. Raju lodged a complaint with the ACB.

The local ACB court sent the trio to judicial custody.
