TDP chief promises 4k pension from April

Vijayawada: TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday promised to give 4,000 as monthly pension to the aged from April 2024. He said he would give the new pensions once the NDA alliance forms the government in the state after June 4. He also promised an IT park at Pedakurapadu if TDP forms the government. Addressing a public meeting at Pedakurapadu, Naidu called upon people to defeat YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSRCP in the coming elections. He said Jagan has to go to the jail if Andhra Pradesh is to be developed. “Jagan promoted extortion and smuggling in the last five years. He made the state the drug capital of the country,” the TDP chief alleged. He also promised free sand if TDP forms the government. “I will develop Amaravati as the capital, which would serve the people of the state. People from Pedakurapadu and neighbouring Palnadu district will be able to secure jobs in Amaravati once the capital starts functioning,” Naidu said.He said he gave Ramzon thofa to Muslims and helped build several masjids in the state. “I dare Jagan Mohan Reddy to show at least one scheme for Muslims. I also want to know if Jagan helped in the construction of a single masjid in the state in the last five years,” he added.Recalling that the TDP government built Cyberabad in Hyderabad and developed the IT sector in the capital, he said he wanted to develop Amaravati on the same lines but was defeated in the 2019 elections. “Amaravati would have become a major city in the country in the last five years had TDP won the elections. The TDP government brought investment to the state. Several industries were brought to the state between 2014 and 2019. However, now Jagan is driving investors away from the state. Industrialists were running away,” he alleged. Promising creation of jobs, he said he will ensure that migration would end.
