failed to diagnose her disease after she was admitted there. He said the doctors did not treat her for dengue despite the medical reports indicating clearly that she was suffering from the disease.

"We have got Priya's blood tested after she fell ill at Mylavaram on Sunday. While the medical reports confirmed that she tested positive for dengue, doctors at the Andhra Hospital claimed that she died of cardiac arrest," Rao said. Priya died late on Wednesday night.

However, officials of Andhra Hospital asserted that Priya succumbed to cardiac arrest and not of dengue. "Though the doctors tried their best to save her life, she could not survive," said director of Andhra Hospital Ramana Murthy.

Meanwhile, a boy Abhinav (11) was admitted with dengue symptoms at the hospital and is believed to be critical.

Incidentally, both Priya and Abhinav belong to Mylavaram and were admitted to the hospital after Deepavali.
