Rich haul by swimmers

Vijayawada: Twelve swimmers of NTR Municipal Stadium bagged 28 medals (21 gold, 6 silver, 1 bronze) in the Guntur district SAAP swimming league. Guntur MLC L Appireddy felicitated all swimmers on Monday. They are trained by Kaza Mohiddin.
Medallists: Gold: K Ramya (U-17 50, 100 breaststroke, 50 butterfly; S Keerthana (U-14 50 free); M Rachana (U-11 50 free, backstroke, butterfly); G Ashok Kumar (50 breaststroke, 50 backstroke); K Abhinav Reddy (200 free); G Dharaneeswar Naidu (50, 100 free); B Harshavardhan Raju (100, 200 backstroke); S Karthikeya (200, 400 free, 200 backstroke); MNS Roshan (50, 100, 200 backstroke); Silver: G Ashok Kumar (50 butterfly), K Abhinav Reddy 50 free); J Durga Karthik (200 free); J Tarun Sai (50 free) , B Harashvardhan Raju (50 backstroke); G Narendra Kumar (100 breaststroke).

Indian Springs, Sindhu HS excel
NRI Indian Springs Schools bagged the U-14 girls championship in the Guntur district SAAP athletics. Sindhu High School, Narasaraopet claimed the boys overall title.
Four AP players in Indian squad
Four players from Andhra Pradesh — Venkateswara Rao, Prem Kumar, D Venkateswara Rao and Durga Rao — were named in the Cricket Association for the Blind in India’s (CABI) 17-member squad for the T20 series against Pakistan and Bangladesh, to be played in the UAE from March 12 to 19.

SAAP boxing league on Feb 23
