from a farmer at his office in Chinnakakani village under Mangalagiri mandal. He was identified as Krishna Kishore.

According to revenue department sources, the incident happened on Monday and came to light on Tuesday after the video went viral across WhatsApp groups. The video showed Kishore collecting around Rs 30,000 from a farmer identified as Sivakoti to process his request of uploading his land records online.

Chinnakakani farmers staged a protest outside Mangalagiri MRO office demanding action against Krishna Kishore. They asked the MRO office to issue their adangal passbooks immediately. Later, revenue officials and cops intervened and assured that an inquiry would be ordered against Krishna Kishore.

The protest outside Mangalagiri MRO’s office comes only a day after another farmer walked into the office with a bottle of petrol after his official request wasn’t fulfilled.
