Over 58,000 appear for NEET-UG across AP

Vijayawada: More than 58,000 candidates appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) across Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, with the exam conducted in 180 centres spread across 28 towns. The medical entrance test, held in a single afternoon shift, saw students turning up at centres well ahead of time, adhering to strict entry protocols and guidelines issued by authorities. Officials ensured arrangements for smooth conduct of the exam, including basic facilities and coordination at test centres.Parents accompanied candidates to centres, with many seen waiting outside amid heightened anxiety as the exam plays a crucial role in securing medical admissions. "We reached early to avoid last-minute issues," said a parent outside a centre.Authorities maintained that necessary steps were taken to ensure a hassle-free examination process, with monitoring in place at all centres.
