Over 100 kgs of ganja seized, five arrested in Andhra Pradesh
Visakhapatnam: Over 100 kgs of ganja were seized, and five people were arrested in two separate incidents in north Andhra Pradesh. The Vizianagaram district police seized around 82 kgs of dry cannabis and arrested three youngsters at the Govindapuram locality under Bhogapuram mandal in the district when the trio was transporting the weed in cars.The arrested were identified as Rahul and Akram, both natives of Uttar Pradesh, and M Tulasidas, a native of Kothavalasa mandal. Based on credible information, the Bhogapuram police conducted vehicular check-ups at Govindapuram, intercepted two cars and one lorry, and seized the contraband from the vehicles. The police said the gang was involved in the cannabis trade, and further investigation is underway.

In another incident, the Pedabayalu police in Alluri Sitharama Raju district seized 30 kgs of dry cannabis and arrested two people when the duo was transporting the weed in a car at the Rogulapeta locality. The arrested persons were identified as Subba Rao, a native of Pedabayalu, and Chandrabose, a native of Tamil Nadu.
