Tirupati: Nellore rural legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy laid foundation stone for another 198 development works across the constituency. It may be recalled that he had laid foundation stone for 105 works on March 9.
Speaking to TOI, the Nellore rural MLA asserted that all the 303 development works initiated in the constituency will be completed before May 20th and will be dedicated to the people of the constituency. "The state govt has allocated a sum of Rs 40 crore for executing these works. People from all walks of life and representatives from the Jana Sena and BJP have been made part of the project execution system to ensure all the development works initiated are completed within the stipulated timeframe," he asserted. The Nellore rural MLA recalled about how development took a backseat when he was a ruling party MLA during the YSRCP regime.
"One of the main reason for me to quit the YSRCP was that I couldn't take up even a single development project in the last five years when the YSRCP was in power. But today, the TDP led alliance which came to power in the state has earmarked Rs191 crore for executing various development works in Nellore rural assembly constituency alone within the first year after they came back to power in the state," Kotamreddy asserted and thanked chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for the support.
