Vijayawada: Chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday urged the party cadre to equip themselves with a clear understanding of contemporary politics and party ideology. He participated in training sessions for cluster in-charges at the party's central office and interacted with them during a ‘coffee kaburlu' programme.
Addressing the gathering, Naidu said the TDP was committed to shaping every party activist into a leader and called upon the cadre to use the opportunities provided by the party. He alleged that the state witnessed a setback after the YSRCP came to power in 2019 and said only sustained governance could ensure development.
Naidu accused the YSRCP of indulging in "criminal politics" even after losing power and said party workers should remain cautious and continuously expose such actions. Referring to incidents such as the killing of Dastagiri and the alleged threatening of witnesses by MLC Anantababu, he alleged that committing crimes and shifting blame onto others was the modus operandi of YSRCP.
Naidu alleged that injustice done to the state during the 2019-24 period should be repeatedly highlighted and insisted that the govt's efforts in implementing welfare programmes should also be explained to the public. Naidu said TDP respected its cadre as its core strength and asked them to live with dignity. He urged the cadre to study the functioning of rival parties and counter their narrative effectively.
