Guntur: A major addition to
Andhra Pradesh’s healthcare infrastructure is set to become operational with the inauguration of the Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences, a state-of-the-art multi-speciality healthcare facility, by chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on June 3.
Speaking to the media on Monday, institute chairman and renowned cardiologist Dr PV Raghava Sarma said the new institution represents the culmination of over three decades of commitment to delivering quality and affordable healthcare. Established in 1990, the Lalitha Group of Hospitals has earned the trust of patients across generations by providing comprehensive speciality medical services to both urban and rural communities.
“The Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences is designed to meet the healthcare challenges of the future. We have integrated advanced medical technologies, precision medicine, preventive healthcare programmes and evidence-based treatment protocols to ensure world-class care for patients,” Dr Raghava Sarma said. The new institute houses more than 40 clinical departments and offers a wide range of specialised medical services. It is supported by round-the-clock diagnostic facilities, emergency and trauma care, critical care units, pharmacy services and allied healthcare support systems.
“Our vision is to provide accessible, affordable and technologically advanced healthcare while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The institute combines expert medical professionals, cutting-edge infrastructure and modern clinical practices to serve people from across the region,” said Dr Vijaya, former president of the Indian Stroke Association (ISA).
She stated that the hospital is equipped with world-class amenities and advanced medical equipment to address the growing healthcare needs of Andhra Pradesh. The institute is expected to significantly strengthen tertiary healthcare services in the region while ensuring equitable access to quality medical care for all sections of society.
