Many schools from city achieve 100% pass percentage

“All the students have done well in the exams, including the average students. We cannot compare this year’s exams with that of the previous year, as this year’s exams covered the entire syllabus. Also, they have done away with the CCE model. However, the students performed as per the expectations,” said DPS principal G Mala.
Another school with 100 per cent
Nalanda Vidya Niketan also produced 100 per cent result with 350 students appearing the exam. VP Siddhartha Public School achieved 98.8 pass percentage, with two students left for compartment exams. Out of 167 students from the school, 165 passed the exams.
About 164 students attended the exams from Saint John’s English Medium School, with all of them passed the exam. V Manasa achieved the highest percentage with 487 marks out of 500. Another 129 students from KCP Adarsh Siddhartha Residential School also cleared the exam. The school’s top percentage is 94.4 per cent. Neha Saha Sikdar achieved the highest score in the school with 472 marks out of 500. The highest marks were 96 in English, 96 in Telugu, 98 in Hindi, 100 in mathematics, 98 in science, and 100 in social studies.
Vizag students fare well

Visakhapatnam: About 95 per cent students passed their CBSE 10th class board exam in Vizag under the new relaxed rule, according to which students appearing for the board exam need only 33 per cent marks to get through. The relaxation in passing marks did help many of the schools in Visakhapatnam region score heavily on both pass percentage with a number of students scoring well above 90 per cent.
Though the number of students who appeared for the class X exams from the district was roughly 2,700, just like last year, those scoring A and A+ grades were close to 20 per cent overall.
Corporate schools in the city raked in the numbers as always. A total of 412 students appeared for the exams from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan with 31 scoring over 90 per cent, with a 100 per cent pass percentage. However, in terms of sheer numbers, Sri Chaitanya produced six students who scored over 480 out of 500. Students from Vignan also fared well, with the institute too bagging a 100 per cent pass percentage. A total 249 students appeared for the exams from the school.
Matching the corporate schools was Satya Sai Vidya Vihar, from where 150 students appeared for the exams, with 31 scoring over 90 per cent, 111 over 75 per cent and 150 out of 150 scoring 60 per cent and above. The school too recorded a cent per cent pass percentage just like the previous year.
Visakha Valley School too boasted of a cent per cent pass percentage and one student scoring 490 out of 500. Timpani, one of the oldest CBSE schools in the city, also achieved 100 per cent pass percentage — with 68 students getting first class, and 110 scoring distinction and above. Other schools such as the Delhi Public School, Ukkunagaram, also fared equally well.
