Tirupati: A 44-year-old man who duped unemployed youngsters and collected huge amounts of money from them was arrested by the Vedayapalem police in Nellore district on Saturday. According to Nellore addl SP Deeksha, the accused was identified as Sheik Hussain, a resident of Nirmala Nagar locality in Nellore rural mandal. Sheik Hussain was addicted to various vices and, in order to maintain a lavish lifestyle, he began to lure unemployed youngsters by promising them jobs at the
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, even though he was noway connected to the TTD. An year ago, Sheik Hussain conned around 15 unemployed youth in and around Nellore town and surrounding areas and collected Rs 48 lakh from them by promising them jobs in the TTD. Following a complaint lodged by the victims, Vedayapalem police registered a case and two special teams constituted to investigate the case nabbed Sheik Hussain on Saturday. Police also recovered Rs 25.2 lakh cash from the possession of the accused. Police shifted the accused to remand after producing him before the local court on Saturday.
